What We Do

We provide CONFIDENTIAL (often free and other times sliding fee scale) community mediation for people in conflict. Mediation provides a non-judgmental, safe and respectful alternative for dealing with conflict. Experience shows that conflicts are resolved approximately 85% of the time the situation goes to mediation. We provide trained community mediators to assist you achieve peaceful and co-operative resolution to your concerns or issues.

Where We Serve

All people within the municipality of Sioux Lookout and Lac Seul First Nation (including visitors). We have trained mediators who can work with people in Ojibway or English.

Who We Are

A community-based conflict resolution program. We operate under the wing of the Sioux Lookout Anti-Racism Committee, a not-for-profit organization that has been active in Sioux Lookout for 20 years and has received numerous awards for it's work in race relations. Our funding is from Safer and Vital Communities grant (July 2008 - May 2009) donations, fee-for-service, fundraising and membership fees.
